About the event
We have learned a lot about what people care about, their concerns, and hope for the future. Now we want to these hopes into action. Join us for a community event to build consensus around how to ensure Gardiner remains a community where we can live, work, and play.
The event will be hosted over two evenings. Both evenings will begin with a community dinner (free!) at 5:30 pm. We are organizing child care so that you don't have to worry about babysitters. Both nights the discussion begins at 6:00 p.m. On night one, we will brainstorm solutions for the five issues listed below. On night two, we will refine the results of night 1 and work to find consensus on how to move Gardiner forward. Each night participants will be asked to participate in one topical discussion. However, you do not need to be in the same topic both nights.
1. Addressing housing affordability.
2. Strengthening our sense of community.
3. Balancing tourism and building a more sustainable economy.
4. Creating opportunities for youth.
5. Protecting Gardiner's unique character.
